
New Parking Restrictions Announced for Boyne Bridge Place, Belfast
Attention Belfast Drivers! From August 1, 2025, a new parking regulation will take effect at Boyne Bridge Place, impacting how long you can park in the designated pick-up and drop-off zone.
Key Points to Know:
- Time Limit: Vehicles can only wait for up to 10 minutes.
- No Immediate Return: After leaving, you cannot return to park on the same stretch of road for at least 1 hour.
- Applies to All Vehicles: This includes those displaying a disabled person’s badge.
Where Exactly?
The restriction applies to the west side of Boyne Bridge Place. More specifically, it starts 13.4 metres north of the junction with the Grand Central Station access road and extends 20.7 metres north from there.
Exceptions to the Rule:
Certain vehicles are allowed to stay beyond the 10-minute limit if they are:
- Used in emergencies by medical practitioners, fire, rescue, police, customs, or security forces.
- Delivering or collecting mail by a postal service provider.
- Involved in essential services such as repairing infrastructure or clearing obstructions.
Penalty for Violations:
If you overstay or return early, be prepared to pay a penalty charge of £90, as stipulated by the Traffic Management Order.
