20mph Zone: A stretch of the A82 starting 83 metres northeast of the junction with U1671 Fort Augustus Old Main Road, extending 1.268 kilometres to just south of the junction with U1718 Abertarff Place, will now have a maximum speed limit of 20mph.

30mph Zone: Continuing from this point, the road will allow speeds up to 30mph, covering an additional 400 metres to just south of the Fire Station access road.
These changes revoke the previous A82 Trunk Road (Fort Augustus) (Restricted Roads) Order 2000, marking a significant update to local traffic regulations.
Exemptions:
Certain vehicles are exempt from these restrictions, including:
- Special Forces vehicles as specified in the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.
