Starting from June 16, 2025, a temporary traffic order will be enforced on a section of the A40 Brecon Bypass in Powys. This decision, made by the Welsh Ministers, is due to necessary roadworks planned for the area.

  • Affected Area: The A40 stretch from the southwest junction of Brynich Roundabout to the southeast junction of Tarell Roundabout in Brecon, Powys.
  • Restrictions:
    • No vehicles, cyclists, or pedestrians will be allowed on the specified section during the works period.
    • The "works period" is defined as starting at 18:30 on June 16, 2025, and lasting until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

Exceptions:

  • The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Authority and Enforcement:

  • This order is made under the powers granted by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
