Essential Maintenance on A483 Trunk Road: Temporary Closures Announced

The Welsh Government has announced a temporary closure of the A483 trunk road due to essential maintenance work. This closure will affect specific sections of the road, as detailed in the official order.

Key Details:

  • Closure Period: The closures will occur intermittently, beginning at 7 PM on 19 June 2025 and concluding by 6 AM on 25 June 2025, or when temporary traffic signs are permanently removed.

  • Affected Areas:

    • From the northern exit of Sarn y Bryn Caled roundabout to the southern exit of Station roundabout, Welshpool.
    • From the northern exit of Station roundabout to the southern exit of Tal-y-bont roundabout, Welshpool.

Restrictions:

During the maintenance period, the following restrictions will be in place:

  1. No Motor Vehicles: Motor vehicles are prohibited from driving on the specified sections during the works.

  2. No Cyclists: Cyclists will not be allowed to ride on these sections during the closure.

  3. No Pedestrians: Walking on the closed sections is forbidden.

These restrictions will be enforced only when indicated by traffic signs.

Duration:

The order is valid for a maximum duration of 18 months, although the actual work is expected to be completed within the specified period in June 2025.
