Temporary Traffic Restrictions on A55 at Junction 2, Ynys Môn

The Welsh Ministers, acting as the traffic authority for the relevant section of the A55 trunk road, have decided to impose traffic restrictions on specific sections due to planned roadworks. This decision is made under the powers granted by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Key Details of the Order:

  • Name of the Order: A55 Trunk Road (Junction 2 (Trearddur Bay Interchange), Ynys Môn) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles and Cyclists) Order 2025.
  • Commencement Date: 9th June 2025.
  • Works Period: Intermittent periods starting at 8:00 PM on 9th June 2025, ending when temporary traffic signs are removed after each work period.

Restrictions Imposed:

  1. Prohibition on Vehicles: During the works period, no vehicles are allowed on the specified sections of the trunk road detailed in the schedule.
  2. Prohibition on Cyclists: Similarly, no pedal cycles are permitted on these sections during the works period.

Application of Restrictions:

  • The prohibitions will only apply when indicated by temporary traffic signs.

Duration of the Order:

  • The order will remain in effect for a maximum of 18 months.

Schedule:

  • Eastbound Section: From the eastern exit slip road to the eastern entry slip road at Junction 2.
  • Westbound Section: From the western exit slip road to the western entry slip road at Junction 2.
