Attention Crieff Drivers: Temporary Road Restrictions Announced for A85
Starting May 22, 2025, and running until May 30, 2025, the Scottish Government has announced a temporary prohibition on waiting, loading, and unloading on a segment of the A85 in Crieff. This is due to necessary roadworks aimed at improving the area.
What You Need to Know:
-
Affected Area: The restrictions will be in place on the A85 Trunk Road, starting from the junction with Mitchell Street, heading east along East High Street, to the junction with Ramsay Street. This covers a stretch of approximately 55.44 meters.
-
Restrictions in Place: Vehicles will not be allowed to wait, load, or unload in the specified area. Traffic signs indicating the prohibition will be clearly displayed.
-
Exceptions: Emergency vehicles (fire brigade, ambulance, police, or coastguard) and vehicles involved in the roadworks are exempt from these restrictions.
-
Alternative Routes: The authorities have considered alternative routes to minimize disruption, so do keep an eye out for any detour signs and plan your journey accordingly.
This temporary order is part of the Scottish Ministers' efforts to ensure public safety and efficient traffic flow during essential roadworks. Make sure to adjust your travel plans and follow the posted signs to avoid any inconvenience. Stay safe, Crieff!
