-
Public Notice: The event organizers, Cookstown & District Motor Cycle Club, must notify local residents by posting placards in the vicinity seven days prior and publishing announcements in two local newspapers for two weeks before the race.
-
Traffic Management: A comprehensive traffic management plan will be implemented, including the placement of signs to direct traffic away from the race course. These will be installed 48 hours before the race and removed within 24 hours after its conclusion.
-
Marshals and Safety: A sufficient number of marshals will be stationed along the course to ensure the safety and proper conduct of the race. They will be easily identifiable by distinct armlets.
-
Insurance and Indemnity: The promoter is required to have adequate insurance coverage to indemnify against any potential accidents or injuries related to the race, with coverage up to £30 million per incident.
Legal Implications:
Entering or remaining on the closed roads without authorization, obstructing the race, or interfering with race officials is illegal and could result in penalties. The same applies to keeping vehicles or animals on the specified roads without permission.
