Attention all aviators: New regulations are coming into effect that will temporarily restrict airspace over Central London due to the Trooping the Colour ceremony and its rehearsals. Here's what you need to know:

Key Details:

  • Effective Dates:

    • 31st May 2025: 07:30 - 12:00 UTC
    • 7th June 2025: 07:30 - 12:00 UTC
    • 14th June 2025: 07:30 - 13:00 UTC
  • Restricted Area: A circular zone with a 2-nautical-mile radius centered at 51°30'00"N 0°08'01"W, up to 2,500 feet above mean sea level.

  • Exceptions:

    • Aircraft operations already restricted by existing regulations over the City of London, specified areas, and Hyde Park.
    • Aircraft approaching or departing from London City Airport, Heathrow, RAF Northolt, or London Heliport under specific conditions.
    • Flights operated by Police Air Support, Emergency Medical Services, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, or the King’s Helicopter Flight.
    • Flights with special permission from the Metropolitan Police Service.
